This was our 7th joint interfaith program, this year adding Christian communities with Jewish and Muslim communities. During Passover, the month of Ramadan, and the season of Easter, we joined together for an interfaith discussion followed by a festive Iftar meal — the traditional meal eaten by Muslims to end their daily fast during Ramadan.
The panel discussion “Knocking on Heaven’s Door: Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Thoughts on the Afterlife” begins in the video below at 37:23.
Panelists are Dr. Parvez Ahmed, Professor, Coggin College of Business, University of North Florida, Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner, Jack F. Shorstein Senior Rabbinic Chair, Jacksonville Jewish Center, and The Very Rev. Katherine Moorehead Carroll, Dean, St. John’s Cathedral
Our Panelists were interviewed by Melissa Ross on WJCT First Coast Connect. You can listen here beginning at the 34:04 mark
