Interfaith Challah Bakes

In partnership with the Jacksonville Jewish Center

One of the highlights of our annual Ramadan Iftar at the Jacksonville Jewish Center is the opportunity we have to cook together in the kitchen at the Center, Each year the number of volunteers who help us prepare the meal ask for more opportunities to cook together, especially significant dishes within each of our faith traditions. As a result, thanks to the leadership of Rabbi Rosenblum and Danielle Berke, they organized two challah bakes for our community. The first was a Rainbow Challah Bake on June 2, 2025 during Pride Month and participants learned about the significance of challah and how to braid it prior to baking.

The second Challah Bake on September 23, 2024 was prior to the Jewish holidays, and participants learned how to braid challah in the round.
